vinnyt77 Thats the one. Theres a great Le Carre exhibition on in Oxford at the moment. I’ll get onto Smileys people soon. The only problem with the TV series is that it is, in many ways, better than the film, and I absolutely love the film.

benson I think the movie did a pretty decent job of consolidating the book plot into a 2 hour movie, but it’s a story that deserves a broader telling IMO.

Really underated wee show i found on itv x Startup you call it, Martin Freeman in it. Really hard to put down, very binge heavy.

The Lowdown has been great so far. Ethan Hawke plays the role very well. I’m 5 episodes in so far and the 5th episode is particularly great.

Finished latest series (5?) of Slow Horses the other night.

Didn’t think it really hit the levels of previous series if I’m honest, a bit mid.

Apple is doing a Cape Fear TV show produced by Martin Scorcese, Patrick Wilson and Amy Adams starring. I wouldn’t be that interested but Max Caddy will be played by Javier Bardem…

Homegrove Who needs to see another remake. Will never be as good as Mitchum in the original.

Finished Night Manager. Enjoyable. Started slow but full of intrigue and twists. Loved the scenes set in Colombia. BBC on a bit of a role with this and Industry which is unfortunately being drip fed weekly.

alistair yeah I enjoyed Night Manager series 2 a lot more than I thought I would. Laurie makes a decent villain.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is well worth the time. Everything you love about early GOT, with a lot more humour. Plus it’s a post-dragon world, so not too much magic and wizardry either. Can’t even compare it to the shite that is House of the Dragon.

Enjoyed the action packed, first episode of Patrick Dempsey’s new drama Memory of a killer on prime about an assassin with a double life and early onset alzeimers. Set up nicely
