Homegrove If you’ve got a new TV you want to really test the new Will Smith National Geography-thing Welcome to Earth on Disney+ looks amazing. Nature TV filmed with the best technology available. 4K with Dolby Atmos and they’ve really worked with the sound too.
C_J Mr Robot was somehow both great and simultaneously very hard work. Some of it was genuinely outstanding but it ultimately couldn’t quite deliver on the scale of its ambition imo. But fair play to them for trying to make something special.
303abuser electric dreams on amazon was a decent post-apocalyptic sci-fi series. had some slow starts to a few of episodes, thought most of them paid off pretty well though.
alistair Enjoyed first episode of American Rust. Slow burn but atmospheric crime drama. Reliably excellent Jeff Daniels.
Dubman alistair I wasn’t to sure after the first couple of episodes but it just got better every episode. Is there another episode this season?
mono-stereo Succession is OK as a Monday night watch but I find it a bit repetitive and thin on plot. If they string it out for more than one additional season it is guaranteed to be shit.
jonattonyeah mono-stereo I love it but agree. They can only recycle the same plotlines for so long. But it’s brilliantly written and is one of the very few shows that have ever made me laugh out loud.
alistair jonattonyeah the dialogue is so sharp, I do think there are some ex media/business guys on the writing payroll.
rhouses Agree with mono about stretching it. starting to think that the struggle to take the top spot in waystar is not really believeable for these kids. With all the money I’d have pulled out of the race by end of season 1.
alistair Some outstanding performances this series but I actually think Matthew MacFadyen as Tom just about steals it.
