Give it a few years and he’ll be known as Hans Zimmer frame.
Or something as equally horrific and dreadfully unfunny as that.
I’ve sent myself an invite worry not.
Operation Mincemeat. Horseshit more like - awful film, but had great story I knew nothing about. Everyone over-acted like their lives depended on it. Gets a 4/10 and only because of the story
Ben Macintyre’s books are generally class. Mincemeat is one of them. I recommend ‘The Spy and the traitor’. Class book.
Was gonna stick thief on but it seems you can’t rent it for streaming here in the UK. That sucks.
Got Lightyear cued up for this evening. Will report back.
Oh, I watched Bladerunner 2049 again last night. Still an absolute masterpiece. 2049 replicants / 10
That’s a shame. Caan is great in it. The date scene, I think I posted earlier, is fantastic. Of its time but well worth a watch if you like cinema, specifically noir films. Michael Mann’s first film, I believe. It feels similar to Mann’s Collateral if you’re a fan of that.
Wally Bladerunner 2049
Boss film. Needs to be seen more than once to be appreciated.
jonattonyeah first thing I put on once I bought a 4K blu ray-player. It looked great previous on normal blu ray, but holy shit the sound mix on the 4K-version. Almost as good as at the cinema.
Why do you have a Blu Ray player again, H? Is this an iRiver thing?
Thief is sick. Well worth nabbing.
The Gentlemen & Operation Mincemeat are utter horseshite.
Along_the_Wire Why do you have a Blu Ray player again, H? Is this an iRiver thing?
Best bit is, he’s still rocking an old 720p plasma as 4k tele’s haven’t even been invented in Finland yet lol

C_J 1080 plasma.
And the picture quality is glorius.
I bought the 4K because my old blu ray-player went kaput, and I figured the TV will die too soon, it’s getting on in years, and then I’ll get a 4K tv too. So no point getting a regular blu ray-player in the interim. And I’m not going to bin my hundreds of blu rays and DVDs. Although watching a DVD is pretty grim these days, they do NOT look good anymore.
Okay for old films that you own, but why continue to buy them when you can stream?
I don’t buy that many anymore, and usually stuff you can’t stream. Cattaga recently for example. Maybe 5 a year these days. And stuff where the streaming version is lower quality, the Dark Knight and LOTR trilogies for example. HBO Max has both, but not the 4K with new sound.
you’re buying physical 4k movies but you don’t have a 4k telly.
it’s like buying petrol for a pushbike while everyone else has gone electric.
sort yer life out!!!!!!!!
