Blade II. Missus and I watched the first one about a year ago, and both were sad to discover it had aged terribly. I was going through Gillermo Del Toro’s IMDB-page, and had completely forgotten he directed the sequel. So rented this from Google Movies today. Not much better than the first, but it was fun to pick Del Toro-stuff he went to use on his later films. Luke Goss from Bros was also still great as the evolved vampire. And creepy.

The problems I had with it can’t be solved with a rewatch, as they didn’t have anything to do with following the plot. Subtitles probably helped a lot.

I did watch the concert hall-opening scene again when the movie got added to HBO Nordic a month ago. It’s tremendous. Best Nolan-opening since Dark Knight Rises.
