I never understood the Face/Off thing where didn’t Travolta’s wife notice that her husband’s dick had changed? All they did was swap faces! Maybe Cage was packing more heat and she was just like meh whatever.

I’ll also add The Rock to Cage’s Mount Rushmore. Also liked that movie where he a cop in New Orleans who smokes loads of crack. Good flick, that.

I recall a scene in that one where he ends up smashing the back doors off some doris in an open air fish market in broad daylight just so he can keep his ticker going. The Invisible Life of Euridice Gusmao…. bet no one has heard of this and there really havent been many good Brazilian films down the years….about two sisters with a close relationship in Rio, one of whom is ostracised (by the father) from the family due to giving birth to a fatherless child. Honestly didn’t expect to like this on the basis of its themes and the first 10-15 mins, but it then nicely kicks into gear and turned out to be very moving. 8/10

The Illusionist. Recommended by a mate of mine, it was okay, a bit cheesey in parts and not really sure what Ed Norton was thinking getting involved in that, but it was a decent watch. 6/10

Molly’s Game (2017, download)

Biopic of poker game runner Molly Bloom starring Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba, directed by Aaron Sorkin.

I’m a huge fan of Chastain and she is extremely hot in this. Elba, on the other hand, is a cunt.

Typical Sorkin movie; too long and too much talking. Also made too much of a martyr out of Bloom for my liking.

A pretty fascinating tale, though, and good in parts.
