Wally Chris Evans was amusing to a point

I had a massive night out with him years ago, he was painfully boring.

KLANG.

Watched the first 10 mins of The Grey Man, before fucking it off. Torturously bad. A film for thickets.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Starts off brilliantly, and they could’ve done a much better job - basically Nicholas Cage playing himself. Turn into a right load of old shit with a few funny bits. 3/10

Homegrove Interesting you say that, as about half way through I suspected it might be directed by someone who’s been involved in Marvel films due to the near constant explosions and wafer-thin dialogue.

I’ll never understand how people will watch a movie from start to finish and then decide at the end “that was shit.” Just walk away.
If you found an eyeball in the bottom of your pint you wouldn’t sink the whole lot and decide it tasted a bit off.

mono-stereo their Marvel-movies are great though, best in that genre. Not even entertained the idea of watching their other work. They came up in the business directing Arrested Developement and Community, and were great at both. But then the one season of Community they were showrunners for when Dan Harmon was fired sucks, so maybe Wally is right and they don’t have any good ideas of their own.

You can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

    Revolutionary Road

Sam Mendes does his own take on a Sam Mendes film, featuring the permanently middle aged Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio playing a typical Leonardo DiCaprio character.

I hate all of these people and it has all the hallmarks of a crap film, but it kept my attention for 2 hours late on a Monday night.

    Watchable long flight fodder. ⅗

mono-stereo The anti-Titanic movie. Quite a depressing watch. Thought it was good, but I would never do it again.

Titane. French, dark, horrible and very uncomfortable watch. Up there with Possum. 8/10

I watched The Big Short again just before. Should’ve swapped the order. Why a cracking film that is.

You just put me right off that Grant mate.

A far more easy watch was on the cards for my Saturday evening’s entertainment.

      Voyagers (2021)
This is so badly rated that it must in some objective sense be genuinely shit, but I’m going to say that it was a perfectly decent entry in the lord-of-the-flies-on-a-space-ship genre, featuring some interesting actors: Colin Farrell (legend) Tye Sheridan (future legend) and (daughter of Vanessa & Johnny) Lily-Rose Depp (tidy).

I liked it, you probably won’t unless you’re stoned off your tits and just looking for something silly and fun unlike Grant who seems to only like watching dark shit that makes his flesh creep.

      7.5/10

Along_the_Wire yeah I know mate. Ditto. I’m just perhaps a bit more easily pleased I think.

Titane is a real marmite job by the sounds of it.

Liked Titane. Not quite as shocking as I was expecting…. not as relentlessly grim as Possum.

Just watching the Birds on Sky Arts, fair fucks to the team doing the effects on it, looks brilliant considering the age of it.

True Romance got a rerelease a year ago. But the blu ray + 4K blu ray cost like 40 €. So I waited for the price to drop. When it got to 30 € I got tired of waiting and got it. It was worth it, what a great fucking movie. I forgot how high everybody dialed their performance in the movie. Works great with the big bag of coke. They all went to it while making the movie it seems.
