Crimes of the Future - a typical David Cronrenberg film, fucking weird and a mental concept for a film. Quite difficult to watch in parts, but definitely worth a watch. 8/01

The Last Samurai - never seen it, but someone said it has a great Zimmer score, so I went for it. Pretty good film for a cheesy Cruise epic type of thing. Score is excellent. 7/10

Joe Versus the Volcano

The first outing for Hanks and Ryan. Defo more oddball than I remember it being and probably a bit ahead of it’s time, there are lots of Wes Anderson / Coen Bros vibes knocking about. It’s okay in it’s own daft way.

Total Recall popped up on Prime, and I hadn’t seen it since the VHS days, so watched it. Should have kept it in the VHS days. That said, Sharon Stone looked amazing in it.

As for Total Recall, it should make a great Rewatchables podcast-episode. The trashy movie ones are always great, especially with Shae Serrano on it. Have it cued up for my work commute today.

T1 is great especially considering the austere budget but T2 for me is better. The whole long scene that climaxes when Sarah breaks out to be confronted by the killer robot from the last film who is now trying to keep her alive is imo The Greatest

Rosemary’s Baby - a classic horror(ish) from 1968 - shame it was done by that paedo Polanski, but it’s a very good film, especially given when it was made. Mia Farrow looks absolutely fantastic with her kit off too. Has a Hitchcock feel about it - 8.5/10

Along_the_Wire I love that movie. I especially love the ending when you meet the satanic cabal and it’s just bunch of old people bickering. Anton LaVey claimed he played the Satan in it, but that’s apparently bullshit.
