People paying to see superhero-movies are not the reason very little else gets the money to get made, it’s that they’re an easy sell because they are more likely to make a lot of money, than something more risky. The other is that midlevel budget-movies like the ones people here wish got made more don’t because there’s no market for movies in physical media anymore. As explained here by Matt Damon:
I still buy movies on Blu Ray, and they tend not to be superhero-stuff, because that’s all available on streaming. I also go see as much real drama as I do Marvel-movies and etc so I don’t know why I went all Hugo here to explain myself.
