Night of the Hunted. Pretty effective little thriller on Shudder all set in a gas station where a sniper targets a girl who stops there. Worth a watch but won’t change your life.

In the Line of Fire (1993). Rewatchables did an episode on this, so gave it a watch. I hadn’t seen it since the 90s, and it should have maybe stayed there. Malkovich is excellent in this, Eastwood is not. He’s nearly as bad in this as in Heartbreak Ridge.

Mud (2012)

Odd tale of a fugitive hiding out on an island who enlists the help of two young lads to get away. I always enjoy Matthew McConaughey and this was ok, but not amazing. Reese Witherspoon did look hot in it though. 5/10

Liam Neeson playing the role of a hit man with dementia who suddenly develops a conscience. Loads of people getting shot etc etc. Guy Pearce & Ray Stevenson (RIP) also star.

Watched that Talk to Me on the train back from the smoke last night. A shite, paint-by-numbers horror film, but with Australian accents. Crap.

The new Mission Impossible. Can’t understand why so many people raved about this. It’s the same as always really. Not necessarily a bad thing, but hardly groundbreaking as the reviews suggested.

Watched Prisoners with my son last night. Still a great film imo.

Killers of the Flower Moon: Nothing is obvious even though it is, and the characters are complex and confusing, which makes this a great watch. Acting is top notch and the script is funny, tragic, evil, endearing all in one. I went in with absolutely no context, besides rich American Indians being murdered by the whites. Had no clue all of it is based on true events which makes the entire plot quite absurd. Some great cameos. Could they have chopped off half an hour at the very least, maybe. Have to watch it again next week. 8.7 / 10

Thought Talk To Me had some effective moments but not as good as the positive reviews (not on here obvs) made it out to be.
Rye Lane. Really liked this Rom Com set mostly over one day in South London. Likeable leads, well shot and definitely not too long at 82 mins.
