Millsy Yeah, that was one of the rewatches with the kids over lock-down. One of the best films ever mate

jonattonyeah seen Spacey a few times at the Old Vic and he absolutely smashed it (not a euphemism). He was particulatly impressive in Moon for the Misforgotten despite the fact he was trying to scuttle at least 10 stage hands and three bar men.

Me as well. What can you say, really? Separate the art from artist and whatever, I guess. And those two were out in the same year. If he didn’t get the Oscar for U.S. I bet he would’ve gotten it for Seven. He’s in like 4 scenes and just crushes all of them. The car scene….he just shits on Freeman (tremendous actor) and Pitt (good actor). Steals the belt.

Now American Beauty is another story. That’s a real rough rewatch given his abhorrent behavior. You’re just, “ahhhhh ehhhhhhh” for 120 minutes.

EDIT and for U.S., apparently Benicio didn’t like his lines nor that he was killed off early so he did his whole mumbling, unintelligible thing in a pseudo-protest. He wins that movie for me. He’s so good. Baldwin is also great “GIMME THE FUCKING MONEY BLALALALALLLA”. You know, Baldwin was offered the Keanu part in Speed but took Biodome (with Pauly Shore) instead. Now I’m rambling but not good job there Stephen.

Nah, Pitt gets beat actor in Seven by a mile. I’m not one to give him credit either.

Watching Seven after the Spacey-stuff came out makes it even better.

I watched ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’ over the weekend. I’m not sure what to make of it to be honest? What a strange film that is. I didn’t think it was bad, but then again I’m not saying it was that good either. Clearly had all the Coen quirks to it.

gcw the Coen brothers really have made a very mixed bunch of films… can’t say I was into most, but then No Country for Old Men came along

Watched the Truman Show with the kids yesterday… once again they were really sceptical (wanting to watch Spider-Man) but ended up loving it. It’s great having a crap memory - can’t remember what happens in any of these films

I love most Coen Bros movies, The Big Lebowski closely followed by No Country For Old Men for me

Millsy K Pax is one of his best films, and obviously American Beauty.
