Mad_Cyril Same here, i thought it was boring.
mono-stereo Decent concept, executed like an ITV Sunday evening ‘drama’.
Needless to say, the wife liked it
Homegrove watched this film as a result of your post. It’s excellent and was pleasantly surprised. 8/10
Watched 10 mins of Havoc.
Nonsense.
The Thing (1982). Another classic I have never seen. I again have no idea how. I guess because of my aversion to horror. Well, outside of a 35 mm print this was about the best way to see it for the first time I guess. 4K digital projection on the biggest screen in town at a full screening in a movie theatre.
This film is so well referenced in so much pop culture from movie and TV show homages to memes that I knew pretty much everything about it before. Did not ruin it one bit, what a fantastic movie. Had a great time with it. And yes, jumped a few times. Horror still manages to get to me most of the time.
Yeah I’m not a big horror fan, but this film is just chef’s kiss.
Oh yeah, it was perfect. Even the dog was a fantastic actor. That thing acted very suspicious so well.
No way I’m ever administering a defibrillator to anyone, ever.
The Thing is a stone cold classic.
Amps from the IMDB top 100 I picked classics released before 1990 that I have still not seen:
It’s a Wonderful Life
Psycho
Casablance (I’ve seen this, but I was so young I feel it doesn’t count).
Amadeus
Sunset Boulevard
Paths of Glory
Dr Strangelove
Singing in the Rain
The Apartment
Plus some Chaplin-movies I probably saw when I was a wee one.
Not on the top 100 which I know I’ve not seen:
Papillon
Bullitt
Dirty Dozen
The Wild Bunch
And yet youve watched all the Marvel films ….. christ on a bike Hannu
That Empire subscription being put to good use I see.
Sake
The Witch
Shit

Havoc - 2/10. Not a patch on The Raid/Raid 2 (same director) and actually a bit boring.
