C_J Along_the_Wire I tried to watch that on Saturday but was snoring within half an hour. Probably too much wine. I will try again this weekend.
seanc80 watched On The Rocks with the duchess last night. Perfect Sunday evening fodder. Bill Murray is brilliant in it. 6.5/10
slabs Iffy Really enjoyed this. 8/10. Very smart subversion up the typical western Rhouses rag-to-riches story.
Iffy jonattonyeah I thought so too but all the characters were actually shown going inside trains instead of hanging by a thread outside with 5K of their mates.
Kells77 Watched “One Night in Miami” last night. 7/10. It was interesting, but kinda boring in parts. I didn’t know that the 4 of those dudes were good friends though, so I learned something at least.
slabs Kells77 Sadly it was a kind of interesting premise that was just poorly executed. Great tweet I read: "“jared leto be killing people in real life to get ready for roles iust to get a 20% on rotten tomatos”"
Kells77 slabs Yeah….I wouldn’t be mad if someone took the same plot and just re-wrote it and tried again. There’s a lot more that could be done with that premise.
jonattonyeah alistair Gosh looking now and the last good thing he did was Unstoppable (Tony Scott’s last film). And that was 2010.
Along_the_Wire Event Horizon. Highly silly, classic sci-fi horror character stereotypes everywhere you look - who knew that Sam Neil would be the baddy?! Enjoyable though, but shit at the same time - 6/10
Along_the_Wire The sound on it on surround sound was fucking fantastic. Would’ve been much better watched in 1997
TitianWarrior jonattonyeah strictly speaking the sample is from the trailer, it’s not actually in the film itself.
C_J Bet Graham never watched it on a TV half as good as Grant’s. Which is not even an OLED by the way.
Along_the_Wire C_J I doubt I could spot the difference between QLED or OLED and neither could you for that matter, especially with a film from 1997. The sound was phenomenal mind.
