The Mauritanian. A film based on a true story about Mohamedou Ould Salahi who was imprisoned at Guantánamo bay for 15 years and his fight for freedom. A tough watch in places but still very good. 7.5/10 but could have more if it was made better.

MCU-movie 3, the first Iron Man. One of the most fun movies in the series. Robert Downey Jr. is very good as Tony Stark. He will have problem ever doing anything else again probably, but I’m sure he can use money to dry his tears.

Vision Quest (1983)

Had this on as I worked from home today. It pitches itself as a wrestling movie but it’s really about weight loss and how weird and inappropriate Modine can possibly be - from sexual assault to bantz about wet dreams to writing high school papers on female anatomy. It’s like a Silence of the Lambs prequel with Modine as Jame Gumb.

Two movies sure to earn everyone’s respect here.

The 13th Warrior. Huge disaster, one of the biggest flops of all time, but I’ve always liked it. Antony Banderas as an arab, yes, but also vikings fighting cave men, or whatever the wendols are supposed to be.

Wonder Woman. 303’s quest to watch all Star Wars-movies (including the prequels) inspired me to rewatch all Zach Snyder’s DC-movies, threw in this as a prologue. Probably the best movie in that DC universe, which is saying a lot. Gal Gadot is an incredibly beautiful woman though.

Nomadland (2020, digital download)

Frances McDormand cruises around the USA working odd jobs to make ends meet. This is a fly-on-the-wall character study type of thing that totally gripped me from start to finish and I was gutted when it ended.

amazing crafted, beautiful, wonderful movie. Superb.
