American Beauty….. the nice thing about watching films that you saw 10-20 years ago is that you can watch them again almost afresh. What a great film this is… and what a shame Kevin Spacey behaved as he did because he was a wonderful actor. Watching this in your forties makes it a difference experience and more relevant than doing so in your 20s. 9/10
Jules72 Great film
C_J Re-watched it last night - amazing how much of it I’d completely forgotten. Excellent to watch again.
High Fidelity since it’s now on Disney+. Still excellent.

Automatic upvote for anything Lisa Bonet is in.
Dubman haha I watched this. Wtf was that ending all about
nicksneddon I know mate. Good little twist at the end though.
C_J Thought it was complete fucking rubbish myself
seanc80 I can see it being a bit marmitey. In fact in some ways I’d agree with you. But I still liked it. I just like Mulligan I guess.
Watched this last night. Its genuinely very funny in places but its one of those Uncut Gems type films where he’s chasing his fucking tale the whole way through it. Worth a look though 7ish/10
seanc80 It’s a another good film directed by the Safdie brothers.
seanc80 good film, written/directed by the guys who did Uncut Gems although not quite as anxiety inducing.
Phil-McRackin Agree with this. Good Time’s great - Uncut Gems less so.
Phil-McRackin Kinda sat on my hands watching Uncut Gems.
Sandler’s greatest screen moment.
Did they also do Uncut Gems?
jonattonyeah Yep.
Capone
I’ll never get the time back.
Dan
It was shocking. Lasted an hour. Thought it was about to improve any minute now…
Dan yeah, not something to watch if you want to relax. Enjoyed it although not in a hurry to watch it again.
That and Happy Gilmore
Great viewing if you like Tom Hardy dribbling nonsense and shitting himself constantly.
That uncut gems film - did it give anyone else, like, a massive anxiety attack? It was just SO STRESSFUL right??
🍆👌🏻💦
C_J
I was just like, oh my god, right?
