Along_the_Wire Really. Lazy or run out of money.
LT42 Blackkklansman was good.
Dubman agreed Blackkklansman was excellent i thought
LT42 yep. Nothing makes me eject the VHS more than the words ‘A Spike Lee Joint’ in the opening credits. Shit.
LT42 i haven’t seen too many of his films post-2000, but some of his early work was really good (while being hit and miss overall). do the right thing is phenomenal, jungle fever and malcom x were good as were clockers and crooklyn, get on the bus was good and one i think many people haven’t seen.
“25th Hour” & “Inside Man” are both excellent.
had to endure the wrong missy this weekend. absolutly horrific. however zerozerozero has significantly made up for a rubbish weekend. so thank you for whoever recomended that on the TV thread
Christian yeah Really enjoying zero zero zero 👍
Fairly sure I’ve never seen a Spike Lee film.
Which is nice.
Smallman1 Fairly sure I’ve never seen a Spike Lee film.
Give 25th Hour a go. Rosario Dawson looks incredible in it. And Edward Norton’s rant is fantastic.
watched ad astra last night, thought it was ok. nothing special, but had some good moments.
Skyfall. 9/10. Would have gotten a 10, but not nearly enough skin shown.
I love this movie though, really, as I do most Bond films. I’m going to miss Daniel Craig as Bond.
Jules72 Is everyone watching this on a nudge, nudge, wink, wink Big Fella type torrent download?
wrongun I gave up trying to watch it through torrent sites as the subtitles were cut off through the middle.

Lion… true story about a young Indian boy (living in India) who becomes separated from his brother and trapped on a train that takes him far far away. Ends up in an shelter for orphans and then adopted by an Australian couple. Tugs on the heart strings in a big way and very well made. Given I hadn’t even heard of this film, I was really quite surprised just how much I enjoyed it. Best film I’ve watched during lockdown 8.5/10
The King of Staten Island. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s funny, silly, cheesy and melancholic. Enjoyed it. 8/10. I’m gonna research Pete Davidson.
