Moodymann - TAKEN AWAY……

i finally get to post my own album here. it’s dub and detroit techno, written mostly in march this year after losing one of my dogs. i threw a lot of that emotion into these records and i hope it translates. thanks for listening and i’m always happy to have feedback. 🙂

303abuser Got two thirds through this before the missus yanked it. Always a good sign that. Really enjoyed what I’ve heard so far mate, nice work.

Along_the_Wire lol that’s always my measuring stick too, the more she hates it, the better it is. and thanks for taking the time to listen to it, glad it wasn’t terrible, i have no idea what my tracks sound like to other people.

LT42 thank you, glad you liked it. i made reflected without a high hat and i like the way the highs kind of shimmer over the top of the mix, sounded cool to me.

Nau Squaglia - Remain in the Light - terrific album, lovely bit of deep house shizzle

        303abuser

Love this album. Slow Tide, Flux and Passage are superb tracks. But have to say that Reflected is the stand out track for me. Had me humming the bassline to myself as I cycled back from work along Chelsea Embankment, waving at the rich MILFs and GILFs with a demented grin on my face.
My only moan would be that I wanted more than 7 tracks. But other than that, well done. I would be chuffed with this if I were you.

Henry i honestly can’t say thank you enough for that. i make music because i enjoy the process and i know i’m never going to make money doing it, so the idea that a few people listen to it and actually enjoy it is really cool. i really, really appreciate the kind words. 🙂

i’ve got 5 more tracks mastered and ready for release, probably through july, and i think one of them is better than anything on the album. i came up with an idea for a concept album the other day too, so i’m going to throw myself into that and hopefully have it ready for september.

Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways. His first album in 8 years of brand new original material. I say original as it does sound like most of his other stuff but it’s still good.

Deadbeat & Paul St. Hilaire - Four Quartets Of Love and Modern Lash. Very good dub house.

Daniel Avery’s new one. Blowing the cobwebs away! Full on hardcore rave in parts

Along_the_Wire not bad. wasn’t a huge fan of the spoken vocals in the first couple of tracks, but the rest is pretty good.

303abuser it is mate. Half the tracks on it are class. Story in E5 is superb
I wonder which ones Erol assisted with?

alistair yeah that was good and so was darlinnn. will have to give it a more dedicated listen again later.

Gave the Eric Hilton album a listen, decent but how is it any different from Thievery Corporation album? Seemed pretty standard and nothing special really.

Agreed. If you didn’t know it was just Eric Hilton you would have thought it was thievery corporation. Which is why i thought it sounded like Sounds from the Thievery hi-fi.. It’s still good though.

Dubman Wasn’t bad. It’s just that I’ve heard all of it before.

I much prefer this sound to the latin style tracks and albums which they made. Still really like their Dj-Kicks mix

Not a fan of the in your face ethnic elements if I’m being honest. Prefer it when they’re a little more dubby.

This remix will always be timeless:

Sorry mate but that goes straight into MC’s remix death row - redux.

Dubman Deadbeat & Paul St. Hilaire - Four Quartets Of Love and Modern Lash. Very good dub house.

                          Have just hit play.

                          Hold tight for feedback!
