First two tracks are a bit ‘Lion King’!

Will give more of a whirl later in the week

Lol. I was a bit surprised as usually he makes mostly instrumental stuff

The Bob Moses album that smokingdan posted is absolutely dreadful.

    Avoid like the plague.

I love it. We’re seeing them in a couple of weeks at Koko

Homegrove …..is very good. Rivalling the Awe Kid album as my fave of the year so far. Driving around London this weekend. pissing it down with rain, bleak urban cityscape……the ideal album for that!

Can hear loads of influences and nods to on the album…. from Aphex to Tricky to Prodigy to Portishead. His ability to marry brutal breaks with ethereal pads and strings is right up my strasse. Love to see him live

This Daniel Avery album is really, really good. The saturation/distortion sounds so amazing. You can really hear it in the opening track, but it runs through the whole album. It’s so warm and rides the line of completely breaking apart at times and is never too harsh. So much to love about it.

Nothing special the new Avery album.

Some decent tracks on there but a load of filler too.

303abuser This. It never gets toooo harsh. Always brings things back with either melody or atmosphere. Excellent production.

IndustryStandard Yeah I’m going through the sound design to rip every good idea I can. I touched a bit of that saturated sound on one track, this gives me the template of how far you can push it.

Ooh the production and sound design is so on point.

          Fucking do one.

It’s not all excellent, but some really good stuff too on Ivory’s album.

Smallman1 Eden - fantastic album, Edward. As is Walking Wounded. Plain Sailing - even better. I once went to Ben Watts Lazy Dog on a Sunday afternoon in Notting Hill - he played 90s deep house. which was nice.

Did I ever go to Lazy Dog at the Notting Hill Arts Club?

            I did!

Just hit play on the Kasper Bjorke album.

When does the prog kick in?

Must say the new Tokyo Fan Club album is rather good on first listen. Making the early Heathrow Express back to Paddington more bearable

20 minutes into Fabric presents Nicola Cruz and loving it. Out today everywhere.

Maybe the best commercially released DJ mix of the year actually.

I made it through about 6 tracks of that Nicola Cruz mix before I shut it off. Hope that helps.

              5 days later

Pop Ambient 2023 is out today. Tomorrow’s breakfast soundtrack provided.

New Franky Wah album is very enjoyable I must say
