  • Wrecking Ball / Peak Time Power Prog - Best Example Needed

@PDJ

You’re the decider here. In my upcoming Top 10 poll I have to chose one and only one Breeder track. Are we going Twilo Thunder or The Chain?

    jonattonyeah Tough call…

Both brilliant tracks and I’ve listened to each of them countless times, but in homage to your RANKED threads I felt I needed to hear them both again in full back to back before making a decision… I’ve just done that and my choice is:

    Twilo Thunder

Enjoyed working my way through this thread tonight - some great choices and some posted by people that have no idea what Power Prog is. Final one from me:

SM001 it’s difficult to name another prog producer from the 90’s that JD still plays, least of all regularly puts out on his label. Still prolific.

Does what it says on the tin. Infusion legacy is another hall of famer

-si- yeah was near the start of his set. I had nearly all the set on a tape somewhere used to put it on the headphones after a night out and literally spin around the bed like the excorsist

            Heno

Lol. Sounds like a great end to a night heno!

-si- mosney 99. Place was like a open air asylum, my eyes got opened that day!

Delighted that Zackster’s attempts to de-rail the thread have been unsuccessful.

            The power of POWER Prog.

Poor zacko has had a complete millsy in this thread. Desperately attempting to bait the prog brethren with deliberate, nonsensical and futile attempts to poison the glittering list of classic power with piffle.

Dan Have you posted any bangers, Ed?

You just scroll on up Danny boy.

alistair He was never ‘Power Prog’ though was he? And he’s very hit and miss, mostly miss, these days imo.

                SM001
Him & blackwatch have got that dark sound nailed.

                Top pounds…

                1. Pound Sterling
                2. Pounds and Penz
                3. Pounding a bird
                4. Pound cake
                5. Tha Dogg Pound
                6. Dick Pound

Dave the 12th November is on the phone here, mate, it wants it’s joke back…

                  Vin likes it Si.

Clearly been on his special dessert again!

                  • -si- replied to this.

Twilo Thundrr gets my vote. It has two breakdowns ffs. Power.

Are we including breeder remixes here or just original productions? Surely that remix of the phoenix has to be up there with the best things they have ever done?

Did any of you lads hear the breeder tribute mix on hear this? Some lad dave something made it. It’s amazing. There were a couple of tracks on it i didn’t know the name of and therefore didn’t actually realise breeder made them.

-si- Nope. Hook a brother up? Had a quick search but can’t see it…

                      • -si- replied to this.

NYFM has aged remarkably well. Twilo Thunder sounds too fast and dated now

                        vinnyt77

Just above your post mate. I searched for it after mentioning it.

-si- Not all strictly Breeder. It’s anything that involved Rowan Blades and Simon Noble.

SM001 anything that involved Rowan Blades and Simon Noble.

Probably not as catchy a title I guess

Ah-ha! I see, nice one, mate. Ta for the info.

                            Don’t know about that, mc…

Dave Ormonde - The Breeder and anything that involved Rowan Blades and Simon Noble Tribute Mix

Millsy, i had that on youtube and was going to post then had doubts myself, as grant said. It’s a bonafide prog weapon of a record but is it power prog? I love that tune!
