bosstrabs Smallman1 I’ll tell you what else was a walking prog cliche about me. I was destroying my own deltoids on the dancefloor as Timo dropped Pounds and Penz and Der Schieber
[deleted] bosstrabs PROGHOUSEUNIFORM ™ of a plain dark t-shirt, Maharishi combats and Nike Air Max Prior to this, I actually went to nightclubs in a shirt, slacks and shoes, I looked like a sixth former going to his first job interview.
bosstrabs [deleted] Yes, a great look that we all went through for about three months I think, before we copped on properly 1997: Curtains, Ben Sherman or Ralphy shirt, dark kecks, Kickers or Pod shoes. Grim doesn’t begin to describe it.
[deleted] bosstrabs 1995 - 97: Curtains with undercut, M&S / Next shirt (never wore pastel and was broke), dark kecks, shoes, any shoes, just please let me in! Grim doesn’t begin to describe it. Amended to how I remember it.
Smallman1 Hands up if you haven’t heard Trisco’s Musak in a club? And then get off this board quick sharp.
Phil-McRackin Yes, remember buying my first suit specifically so I could get into my local nightclub…the Mersey View. Classy venue with a classy view.
bosstrabs Phil-McRackin They have had some decent nights at the View down the years. A mate of mine who is a not very famous house producer but who has played Pacha and been Pete Tong’s record of the week was booked there once and we had a boss night. Quite scally though.
Phil-McRackin bosstrabs I’d moved away before they had any decent nights there. Remember reading about them in Mixmag/Musik and couldn’t believe it was the same place I used put on best deep voice to ask for a Southern Comfort and Lemonade when I was 16.
bosstrabs There is a decent Chinese restaurant there too, called Yuet Ben, a great standard of Chinese food for a ‘village restaurant’. Family run gaff that’s been there about 30 years. Much better than the shit Chinese gaffs Smallman recommends on here.
Phil-McRackin Yep, on the high street, popular place. Haven’t been for yrs but still going strong i believe
bosstrabs I travel from Chester to go there when I’m back because most of the options round here are shit.
bosstrabs [deleted] You know what these trabs say to me? Aqua. Which is French for water. They’re like enormous Fox’s Glacier Mints, which again, to me, is a bonus.
seanc80 [deleted] Toothless. Even for women. For which they look more suited. Are you going to use them for your legs bums & tums class Amps?
