benson Yeah but it is a bag. The buxom is proper aluminium and tough. Tricky. Although when we did GFNY a coupel of years ago mny mate took a bag and it was all pretty straightforward. Maybe I have just spunked a lot of money when I didn;t need to.
Along_the_Wire The bags are a piece of piss and I don’t know anyone that’s had an issue with breakage. I assumed for a long time it was tripe.
Smallman1 benson integrated cockpits and dissembly are not compatible. Have you bought a bike or a plane?
Dubman Millsy I’ve seen loads gravel bikes up where I ride. They do have their limitations though. If where you live is very bumpy with lots of up & downs maybe a hardtail MTB would be a better option with 29″ wheels.
Along_the_Wire Dubman That would be shit on the road through, Dubbers. Millsy has clearly stated he wants a bike capable of both.
Millsy There’s a Mondraker Dune on FB Marketplace for £650 that looks alright. Think the RRP is £2k so it’s probably stolen. But I didn’t steal it so I think I’m in the clear. Thoughts? Feelings?
Millsy Ah right. My sons bike has rock shox or whatever its called on the front fork and you can switch that on and off. If you fix it does it ride better on the road? There’s far too much choice nowadays and it all costs an arm and a leg. Give me the white dog poo halcyon days of either a chopper, a Burner/Boxer or racer.
Dubman Millsy Ah right. My sons bike has rock shox or whatever its called on the front fork and you can switch that on and off. If you fix it does it ride better on the road? Yes it would ride better on the road but not as good as a grave bike. Whereas it would be more comfortable off road.
Along_the_Wire Specialized Diverge or Canyon Grail is what I’m being told. Big price range on the Diverge.
Hursty Sonder Camino or Calibri. Wife has just got the calibri and it’s great, versatile for road and gravel and won’t break the bank. sub company of the fantastic Alpkit brand.
