Huge respect for Alaphillipe after his effort getting the team to the finish line yesterday. The very essence of team sport, so impressive to watch. I’m over the moon for Cavendish, it’s amazing how close he was to plowing into Von Moer aswell as he passed, literally centimetres.

LT42 He was completely fucked - he’d been in a two man break all day - it was incredible it got that close - the sprint teams were really spooked, but he’s a pro, should’ve known which side they were coming down and moved opposite toot sweet

Can’t wait for Saturday’s stage - last day of self-isolation, so can only stay in. I’ve ridden every climb and my mate lives in Mont Saxxonex which they go up through before the Col de Romme (absolutely brutal). I was going over to see it with them, but that’s obviously now in the bin.

Along_the_Wire yeah I’m looking forward to it also. It’s been years since I’ve watched a mountain stage. I’m buzzing for today tbh, Cavendish has history on this road with the sprint finish and the top guys are circling like sharks. Makes for a compelling afternoon.

Along_the_Wire it’s the first thought that entered my mind and I was wondering if Küng was thinking the same, it was such a dominating and powerful ride but I don’t know enough about the sport to make a judgement either way, I hope it isn’t the case. I was a little gutted for Küng as he was flawless and so composed as you said, G. Pogacar beat most guys who rode very well by almost a minute, seems super human.
