Hursty Normally train early morning in Richmond Park, like 6am so there are no cars, but it depends on what the training is - if it’s 5min VO2 Max intervals, I can do them on this stretch of road near me which tends to be quite and is very straight. Had some hairy moments on it for sure.
I normally race on open road and dual carriageways during the season, so I’m used to it a bit, but there aren’t corners or junctions usually other than a roundabout for a turn back.
What TT bike did you get? A friend of mind came third in the European Triathlon at the weekend (don’t know what length) and she sent some videos of the bike ride - Jesus, there are some shocking looking bikes - they make such a huge difference in terms of the times you can get - people riding with clip on trio-bars and just normal wheels in a European Championship? Stupid if anything else.
