Mad_Cyril yep. Never took the plunge last time as read a lot of Grant’s posts on this thread and vomited down my Spandex one piece. Decided it wasn’t for me. But my head has been turned since.
Saw a couple of lads up the downs this morning riding gravel bikes. Dressed head to toe in full lycra. It looked like they took the wrong turn and ended up going off road.

Along_the_Wire will I be looked down upon by the mamil massive? I’m literally as novice as it comes in the whole cycling game so very happy to defer to the wisdom on here. I was actually shocked you can pay c£1k for a bike and a) that’s considered ‘entry level’ and b) the fucking bastard thing comes without pedals. ‘oh you want handlebars mate? Extra’.
Millsy you can get brilliant bikes for a grand these days. I don’t want to sound like a cunt, but PM me, I can get you some really decent recommendations - gravel is not my thing, but loads of mates are bang into it
There’s a shop on the High St. by me and they’ve got bikes in the window priced at £15k.
