  • If it’s Jim Boeing I ain’t going

Used to fly a lot with the job, would have refused to board. They need a few years with a clean record before I’m interested.

Hursty I can’t believe they are pressing ahead with this doomed especially with the bad press it has had.

Yes I am shocked that Boeing would gamble with human lives in an attempt to save money and face.

Along_the_Wire Yeah, been browsing it for about 4 years. Good site for tech and interesting topics.

zackster Haha, no hint of sarcasm at all!

Are they really that stupid? I guess the plane is already ‘sold’ to many airlines so the show must go on.

No chance. Would pay more for a ticket on another airline to avoid…

Hursty not “stupid”. The word for it is cavalier and yes they absolutely are.

Ryanair has 135 of them on order apparently. 😆

Not followed closely but surely that defies logic.

Where’s Hugo when you need him ?

On the plus side, it’s probably now the most scrutinised plane ever, by regulators etc.

And Boeing can’t allow a third crash, especially as even American Airlines and some Yank carrriers have switched to Airbus. It would bury them.

If it gets me to Ibiza, count me in.

Hursty thing is, there are already so many of them out there that it will be hard to avoid the MAX.

You just know that scummy carriers will do their best to obfuscate the model designation, so that you’ll only know for sure what your flying on when you get to the gate.

Bang on. I’d still wait a few years before using it though.

mono-stereo Yeah absolutely. I think you will just have to choose airlines who use airbus aircraft.

If you used to fly RyanAir, fly easyJet and so on

Unless I’m missing something, they found the issue and that it was a “single point of failure” ages ago (single point as in - when something fails on planes as they often do, there is one or more than one failsafe workaround whereas in that instance there was not before it was identified and fixed)

They’ll have undergone a lot of scrutiny and testing by now to get it to the point it is allowed in the air so I would be as comfortable flying this one l, that has been tested to death, as I would be it’s predecessors by now.

Nasser confirming that he’s quite obviously a proud boys trump fanatic with that crazy yet logical response!

We need some tweets posted to counter this madness!

NasserAlazzawi couldn’t be further from the truth. I could add several links which highlight systematic failings throughout this he company, one which was hellbent on shareholder profits and make serious cuts in areas of safety to maximise these.

No conspiracy just another tragic failing of the capitalist greed cumulating in the deaths of innocent people, children included.

To die in a plane crash must be one of the worst ways to go. Knowing it’s coming, the hysteria going on, horrible.
