303abuser the concern with this variant isn’t a high death rate, more that it’ll knock out a good chunk of the workforce (where healthcare workers are of particular concern) because of how quickly it spreads. people may not be ending up in hospital, icu, or dead as often, but due to the number of cases, it’ll still overwhelm hospitals with staff shortages (because people are still sick/symptomatic).
