SF reporting 30% completely asymptomatic, 40% very mild symptoms, 20% symptomatic, 5% in need of care. Death rate in the 0.3% to 0.5% range. Not too bad. Once again, we could have a milder strain.

Google partnering with the City to ramp up testing in the Tenderloin. That should be illuminating. For those of you who don’t know, the Tenderloin might be the most bonkers neighborhood in the first world. An 6×6 block open air drug market with rampant prostitution, homeless encampments, and mental illness. It’s honestly a disgrace but, hey, SF was built on degeneracy so c’est la vie. Crazy to have that on the ground with Twitter, Uber, Square, and Dolby in the buildings above.

There could be something in the vitamin D theory too - colder climates got it much worse ie north rather than southern Italy, Madrid versus Barcelona, BAME being adversely affected in the UK…

Good to see the Cummings story has gone away.

We marched through the Tenderloin absolutely baloobas drunk at 8am back in 99, had no idea where I was walking through. Some corner dwellers got a right laugh off us, joined them for a swig and smoke, don’t think they’d ever met Irish before. Good times. Africa and Ireland united as one like the old days.

Have upped my vitamin intake to 25mg a day.

    Along_the_Wire Lol!

Don’t worry Ed has a top nutritionist from Harley Street working on his diet, no need to worry.

Smalls, you wouldn’t actually die, you’d probably just vomit a lot, have diarrhea, cloudy piss and aching joints for a few days until you figured out you were overdosing on vitamins, which would be lol-tastic

bosstrabs I’m not even going out until I see there’s not a second wave in about a fortnight. Until then, contactless home deliveries for everything.

Have scaled back my pub going plans when they open, reckon they will be hot spots for the first few weeks.

Smalls would be posting on here like a cloudy-piss mong, trying to upload a picture of one of his loose stools and failing, going “what do you reckon’s wrong with me?” instead of seeking medical advice

Along_the_Wire They’re 25 micrograms not milligrams. One is safe (just), the other would kill you.

Liked for the micrograms vs milligrams correction.

However, why add the “(just)”? My daily tablet is 50 µg and in some cases even 100 µg per day is recommended.

Amps A few weeks?! Amps, until there is a vaccine or successful treatment I would suggest avoiding bars and eateries for the foreseeable future.
