Smallman1 Homegrove Clubs reopening is getting delayed. https://djmag.com/news/june-21st-club-reopening-date-england-be-delayed?fbclid=IwAR2fWoIjfuB98XrfCXcFcfrCsMKanX45D0EsvWbbrDh4ke6PvfQfL5ZGX8Q Dixon in Shoreditch Saturday 31st July is going to go off big time! And I’ll be front and centre, natch!
Smallman1 Mad_Cyril Whole of Greater Manchester now on the ‘limit travel’ advice, which is basically fucking worthless. Clearly not localised to Bolton/Blackburn any more. Wife’s school has seen an uptick of staff having to isolate, at least 4 to my recollection in a smallish primary, this week alone. Feels like momentum is building, but hard to call out any defined impacts at the serious end of the scale Absolutely fascinating, keep us posted MC!
Hursty Absolutely no way clubbing is happening this year, I will keep saying it unfortunately Outside gigs no problem, but thousands of people rammed together in a tiny space? Really?
zackster Mad_Cyril bit surprised by this, but I suppose they think this will further improve their cold war effort. Bottomline for me is it is just so insane to think that the city with the laboratory studying SARS COVID what the fuck ever is ground zero for a world altering outbreak and we are told “it is racist to suggest it came from the lab. A bat took a shit on a pangolin that was later eaten to make a man virile. Duh.”
Hursty China have done an amazing job to keep the outbreak to approx 90,000 people in a country of over 1 Billion. Sterling achievement for Xi, I don’t know how he’s managed to do it!
zackster Hursty I don’t know how he’s managed to do it! Authoritarian rule, the ability to send direct meals to every citizen’s home, and flat out lying about the data?
Smallman1 zackster the ability to send direct meals to every citizen’s home, Sweet and sour prawn balls and chips delivered to one’s home daily? That is living the dream.
Smallman1 A first ever lol for Alistair! And the first time he’s correctly identified a tune for being a tune too!
Mad_Cyril Looking +ve if position holds https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jun/09/link-between-covid-cases-and-deaths-has-been-broken-says-senior-nhs-boss?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
Hursty Genuine question, what’s it been like living in a city while covid has been around? Must say where I live in a more rural area it has definitely appeared to have been much scarcer and you just don’t feel as affected, apart from the restrictions. The postcode covid data has said it has been suppressed for weeks around here.
Smallman1 > Hursty what’s it been like living in a city while covid has been around? Can’t say it’s been a barrel of laughs. At one point you could see the Covid in Tooting.
