basically 4 deg C is the temperature covid thrives at, there have been no outbreaks on planes, and there will highly likely be a vaccine end year…. oh and covid hasn’t mutated much so far

I think it’s fair to say that until all these findings are peer reviewed and tested then we won’t know what’s certain. I read the other day about a test a lab is doing, they’ve isolated an enzyme the virus uses to replicate in the cells, they’re producing a pill that will inhibit the virus from using the enzyme and if it the trials work then we may have a choice between pill or vaccine. All cutting edge science.

I must admit, I do prefer the positive stuff to the negative stuff - that podcast was a breath of fresh air - I get we don’t know anything for certain, but there does appear to some substance to those claims.

Along_the_Wire I think the point alot of scientists are stressing right now is that there’s plenty of counter claims to the claims, that’s just how science works, especially in the infancy of research. Even if a vaccine does get produced within the next 12 months that’s still about 5 years faster than the normal schedule, plus it’s probably the first time in modern history that the public is privvy to research in real time, with a virus that’s relatively new. Add in social media and there’s a wealth of info out there that seems to change almost weekly.

Navigated my way back to New York from being in the UK for 4 months. A surreal experience. About 30 people on the flight. A lot of people with a full on plastic face visors AND face masks. Health screening upon arrival. Now stuck in quaranteen for 2 weeks. Cant see that being too appealing to tourists once they stock any restrictions.
