So turns out, so far at least, second waves are turning out to have much lower deaths rates. Partly because it’s young people getting the virus by and large, but perhaps also because distancing is leading to lower viral load - according to the experts you need to be close to someone for 15 min plus to catch it or catch it in a large enough dose to be very ill. People are now much more wary of putting themselves in that situation. So the big surprise of the second wave might be that it turns out to be a damp squib. And that Dave might actually leave the house this winter….. and that Ed attends the next Wuhan Pool party with Dixon headlining…. stay strong brothers - happier times around the corner!
