C_J I hear you but very little is known about transmission rates in society after a certain number have been infected. There’s claims from some researchers that you can be continually affected as the immune system isn’t building a t-cell battery big enough to protect you. It’s far too early into research efforts to take that risk. Besides, it’s been confirmed by a number of immunologists and scientists that the virus was lab born and therefore created to have maximum effect in terms of application, meaning it doesn’t respond to conventional treatments and works in our systems different to other viruses.
The whole concept of herd immunity only works with the introduction of a vaccine so at best the article is just sensational and probably dangerous as it will just encourage arseholes to continue flaunting the rules thinking herd immunity is a thing and that it’s working. It’s way too early in the game to know for certain. There’s prob a better reason for the situation in Sweden but media have most likely been briefed on the herd immunity line as a pretext to the next stage/gamble in how to fight it whilst keeping economies running. Bear in mind, the claim is only coming from one scientist based in Copenhagen and his claims haven’t been met with widespread support. Such is science.
