Just blows my mind that people can call elderly folk selfish for not wanting to be confined to their homes indefinitely.
My parents are climbing the walls and I’m trying to persuade them it’s all worth it to stay healthy, but i think it’s scary that people think the government have the right to ordain this without question. As for my poor old Gran, she literally treats the government as one might a very simple child and largely ignores any instructions they issue. The concept of being confined to her home in case she might catch a bug is to her just one of the many inexplicable and alien features of modern existence.
