Went to hear a friend play last night, she was the first at an outdoor thing that started at 6 PM. Had four half litre cans of lager while there shooting shit with other friends, and was home by 9 PM. But judging how I feel now midweek drinking is not an option anymore. Just bleurgh.

10 pints yesterday starting at 3pm. The ring doorbell captures me coming home at 21:47. Spoons, a pub called the black swan for some pool. For those that know my little home town that is not a good pub crawl.

Got gifted two single malt-bottles last weekend. I’ve tasted both before, but tried each again and Ardbeg 10 > Lagavulin 16.

Homegrove I just can’t get on with that much peat in my whisky. Ardbeg 10 is around 50 ppm. My favourite ‘everyday’ single Malt is the Tomatin 14, which is aged in Port and Bourbon casks. Comes in around 35 ppm, which is about my limit…

Lagavulin 16 for that matter - also 35 ppm. You’re clearly a smoky motherfucker. 😃

In other news I ran out of whiskey for the old whisky sours last night and only had some anejo tequila. Quick Google and there is indeed a tequila sour and fuck me it was great. Highly recommended.

I have to say this is the most depressing thread to read on the whole board.

A load of middle aged blokes one-upping each other over whether their IPA or whiskey choices are superior to everyone else’s.

Bottles of Dalwhinnie, crates of Neck Oil, all to wash away the misery of a 6/10 Netflix box set or to trainwreck a few long-forgotten Medway records to.

Fucking grim. Close it down.
