Hursty stick to vodka/gin and soda or scotch, unless you really need the taste of beer. it’s actually possible to mimic the blood sugar spikes you’d get from sugars and other carbs in some people when they eat carb substitutes or sweeteners (it can happen with stevia in some people, as an example). if that happens, you’re kicking yourself out of ketosis unintentionally.
if you want to test it, do blood sugar tests immediately after eating, an hour later, and 3 hours later. that’s how i figured out that i tolerate bread pretty well, but potatoes cause a massive blood sugar spike and i just don’t clear the glycogen from them as quickly. my wife is the exact opposite, so it’s definitely an individual thing.
