zackster you said people shouldn’t judge a situation, until the know the facts. I agreed. However, I also said that cops rarely wait to learn the facts, so I’m fine always siding with the other party.
I don’t know how you can “always [side]” with one party over another. A lot of problems in the world at the moment are caused by negative stereotyping of an entire larger group based on a number of bad apples; whether that be something along the lines of “there are some cops that are bad and too quick to rush to negative action so that means that all cops must be bad and too quick to rush to negative action”, or some other such stereotyping of another group.
Also, your own stated predetermined bias also clearly renders you prone to making judgements before waiting to learn the facts, given that you’ve stated you’re “fine always siding with the other party” without even knowing the facts yourself - so how does that make you any better than the cops?
zackster Especially if they are a minority.
I don’t know why race has to be raised and made in to an issue in every case, even when it may not be relevant in that particular instance. A guy that recklessly drink drives and speeds without insurance and with his little kid in the car is a scumbag. regardless of ethnicity.
Perhaps you should try a bit harder to consider people and scenarios on their individual merit, as opposed to based on groups and stereotypes.
