Along_the_Wire The truth is that the bill sucks because of both parties. Neither party wants to give people money. However, due to the Dems being the party of compassion, they have to do summersaults pretending that they do actually want to give you money. In standard fashion, Palosi totally botched the politics of the situation, by going on TV and saying “ooooh $600 is a big deal”. What she should have done is said “$600 is not enough, and it’s the republicans who kept you from getting more”. Trump, on the other hand, made the perfect political decision, and made it look like it was entirely the Democrats fault. Who knows if we get the money, but his over all evaluation of the situation is exactly right.
