Millsy how does socialism get described in US schools, Zack?
Not a clue. My guess would be it isn’t discussed at all bc there is not funding for anything even close to history or civics classes. Due to being 35 I was one of the last generations to get a decent public school education. Most all of my teachers were ex hippy boomer types, who of course indoctrinated myself and my class mates, so it got a very fair shake. My mother in law and father are both in or recently retired from education. They say that the knowledge level and general comprehension of todays students is the worst thing they’ve ever seen. Everything started spiraling with Bush’s “No Child Left Behind” and never stopped. Long story short, I don’t think its a question of the light in which socialism is cast, as much as it is that kids haven’t an idea of what the term even means.
