I mean, it’s the American Israel Public Affairs Committee - she’s hardly going to get up there and shout “Down with Israel”, is she? I don’t know what her personal leanings on this are, but I have a feeling she was a paid presenter, and she was playing to her audience.

zackster They paid to hear a presenter tell them everything they wanted to hear. They already got it. But who knows if they paid her for other “favors”. I can’t speculate on that. I do know that Biden was part of an administration that was not always as nice to Israel as they liked though, so there’s still hope.

303abuser I think the people who need to be running for office because they’re capable, likable, and smart enough to do the job right have all been jaded by politics. I mean, I can’t imagine anyone who’s truly interested in doing something great for their country and not just in it for themselves wanting to wade into that mess. And we, as a people in America are complacent and lazy….and scared! I mean, you see what happens right now when we protest for change….

Kells77 lol fair, i just find when i look for the silver lining in stuff like this, i always turn out to be wrong. i’m thinking ostrich mode is going to be the better long term tactic. if i don’t know anything to start with, i won’t know when it all goes wrong. 😂

Kells77 that’s a good point. one of the reasons i wanted to see bernie win was to find out if the president is actually capable of making things better through systemic change or if it’s so corrupt that it’s impossible. trump has proven on the other side of that coin, that it can in fact get worse.

Mixed feelings about our girl Kamala, having worked for the City & County when she was DA here in San Francisco (but you don’t get to her position without ruffling some feathers). How she got that job is a bit ehhhhhhhhh, and what she did with it once she got it was dubious. That said, she’s incredibly bright and undoubtedly driven.
