“All that I can do is play the best version of Trisco’s Muszak I have to hand” said the diminutive DJ from Birmingham, England.
Oasis
Had my top off by the time the first actiiiiiiiiion came in.
I actually had all the versions ever put out on luxury gatefold but I was standing atop them to reach the decks
Ive never had a jot of interest in them, we have collectively had to endure them for too long, glad that they are rarely on my telly or radio these days.
Seminal . Funny thing is, during their hey day I fucking hated them as a concept as all my crew were clubbers and the Brit pop lot were hairy square hippies as far as we were concerned .
….but then you ended up somewhere post club and couldn’t face listening to repetitive beats, someone sticks on Champagne Supernova and it all makes sense . You can trace their lineage through the Inspirals, then the Roses, so they are definitely Rave influenced though they both hate to admit it.
The last proper UK band IMO. As Noel once said, music for bed wetters ever since …..
Oasis are reforming tomorrow
10 nights planned at Wembley and headlining Glastonbury.
As always, you heard it here first.
Gutted. May as well turn my telly and radio off for the next week.
I didn’t even know they had, we, un-formed tbh.
Thankfully saw them in 1997. Any possible reunion is going to be a complete clown show of two egos half assing it. Can’t begin to imagine how much some people are going to pay to watch them go through the motions.
Hard pass.

You’ll never guess who saw their first ever London gig at The Astoria?
First album aside, Oasis are an abomination.
I caught a bit of them at one of the V festivals years ago. They were very average. Can imagine they would have been great in those first few years after Definitely Maybe came out.
Ed finger on the pulse again
Saw Liam at the 02 a few months ago dog the Definitely Maybe 30 year anniversary tour. Was absolutely brilliant to be fair
Along_the_Wire I’d go first two albums and the title track and D’ya Know What I Mean off Be Here Now. The rest of that album and everything there on faceplated hard.
Along_the_Wire I like the second one too. Champagne Supernova is a personal favorite. Be Here Now I bought on CD and could not believe I spent 20 € on it.
