loopdokter understand basic concepts in synthesis and audio sample manipulation

This is very much the current issue. Think I might have to fork out for the full version of Ableton though as so many tutorials use stuff I don’t have in the ‘Intro’ version.

Amps haha fair enough. stick with loopy’s advice for now then and let me know if you struggle with it.

i have a samples from mars code that i’m not using. if you need stock drum samples (all the roland boxes plus a bunch of others) this is the best you’ll find. it’s $19 for every one of their samples or $17 for everything they did this year, if you already have the rest.

reply here or dm me if you want the code, first person gets it.

and BFD2-2999 is the plugin alliance code for today and tomorrow, same deal as earlier.

Fuck it. Just took the plunge with Arturia V Collection. Love their stuff. That should be me finished with buying another soft synth for a lifetime.

i looked at it after you mentioned it last week. if i didn’t have software already covering that territory, i’d probably buy it too.

It’s amazing mate. The CMI V is superb. Although will take me a lifetime to work it out. Really love what Arturia have done emulating the old synths.

yeah i like their stuff. i bought a drumbrute a few weeks back because they were on sale for $300 (regular $489) and even that is pretty good for a budget analog drum machine.

Lovely looking bit of kit. The wooden sides finish it off a real treat. Would not look out of place in my Scandinavian (Ikea really) styled home.

Henry i was surprised by how nice it is for the price. ultimately, i’m sure i’ll end up selling it to fund a rytm, dfam, or something similar, but it’s serviceable for now. i’m sure i could sell it for more than i paid too.

the drum machine i really want is the tanzbar, but they’re tough to find and expensive. the toms on that thing are the best though.

303abuser Recommend this for anyone who hasn’t already grabbed the everything deal.

in reference to the how evil is spotify discussion … in 2020 i spent hundreds of hours making music, 208 total hours of my tracks streamed on spotify, and earnings coming out to $6. 🤣

out today on insectorama’s new compilation, K102 is a side project i’m working on with another really talented producer from switzerland. K102 will be a much more techno and dancefloor focused than my solo stuff. hope you like it and i’ve included the link for the comp on bandcamp as well, it’s free or pay what you want to support the label.

303abuser That’s about 170 hours and six dollars more than me 🙂 Will check out the new one in a minute.

I’ve got this one coming out in a couple of weeks. Will post up the bandcamp etc when it’s out.

nothing for a while, then two in two days haha. this is my new solo record, dub for the dance floor.

…pretty heavy for my taste but the mix is terrific.

Finally getting my home studio in reasonable shape, may be back here for mixing tips soon.!

Unbroken1 it’s definitely heavy, but thank you, getting the mix right is a real skill and i feel like i’m just starting to get consistent with it. sent my first cold call email with a demo to a label today, so we’ll see how that goes.

get it going, i’m looking forward to hearing what you come up with. and i’m not sure i have much advice to give, but always happy to help if i can. 🙂

That’s ace that chief. As is the K102 track. A couple of very solid releases.
Really like that faKtor.OST track on that release too. Need to check out that gadge’s other releases.
