303abuser On the face of it, it is a much better upgrade vs going from 10 to 11. But it is not without flaws, some of which are probably not flaws but things to you need to use to.
It has been doing weird intermittent stuff like not allowing me to drop devices in. Or being unresponsive when clicking around the application (clicking on stuff and nothing happening). But very intermittent and recently not so bad.
The new folders structures are good in principle. However, when you do things like click on āPlug-Insā in the tree, you will see multiple versions of the same plugin, either it is VST3, AU, VST2 etc. So you have to filter for VST3 only to find that one. Ctrl+F is your friend for finding stuffā¦.
I have not used Meld or Roar yet. Roar looks really good from the product video. But I canāt get my head around it yet, and probably need to watch some tutorials on it.
Things like the Expression Controller has been updated and is totally different, and is another device that I have no idea how it works without spending time watching YouTubes on it (canāt find a YouTube on it yet). Fortunately, I found a legacy version of it.
The latency thing is still not working properly vs hardware. My Syntakt drifts between 8 and 70ms in a single session. So I am constantly having to tweak the track delay to compensate for it. There is no āpoppingā with Overbridge though, which I had been getting before.
I have not used the random generation midi tools yet.
Overall it is much better to look at, which is nice I suppose.
