  • I wonder if you remember where all this crazy shit started??

So, I have been collecting electronic dance music of all sorts for many, many years and am always amazed by the variety of influences cited by some of our finest producers. I thought it might be interesting (for me, anyway) to start a thread with some of the stuff that got us to where we are today…..

I’ll start….

Proper light bulb moment

(Someone was gonna do it. Might as well be me 😂)

Another gem

ArchimedesQ Only discovered this in the early 90’s. Way ahead of its time.

I had to ask Todd Terje what this was….he kindly told me. Plastic People 2008 🤔👴🏼

A bit obvious - I remember being 15 having sneaked into the Lyceum and hearing Froggy play this in about 1980 - blew me away.

You don’t need anyone else in the room.

This changed everything for me. Nothing is better

I was massively into hip-hop & reggae during the 80′'s until that fateful holiday to Ibiza in September 89 upon returning I went full on acid house/Techno etc. The very first records I bought were from Our price records in Worthing..So the journey started with these two…..

Dubman Very similar to me - I was PR’ing in Tenerife in 1988 just as stuff was starting to break. Came home and I think I heard Mark Moore or Jay Strongman play Oochy Koochy at The Mud Club at Busby’s - The rest is history.

Dave late to the party yet again.

If he’s quick the taxi will still be outside.

I can hold off posting the Parks & Wilson Essential mix if you want to jump in?

Where’s that Reg logo from Jonatton?

    I like it.

One of Tom Middleton’s finest moments and one of the best electronic albums ever IMHO

Stunningly beautiful (If you like this sort of thing)
