maxiqum I always called that “loop techno” like Ben Sims, Technasia, Advent, Oxia, Mr. G, Umek, Sterac, John Thomas, Recycled Loops
or you may call this genre “Carl Cox 2002” and it won’t be far away

from recent times like this set much, although it’s not completely loop techno, but many tracks are
tracklist

Thumbs up both for the use of terminology and for posting some Dax J (and also for mentioning Mr. G).

I don’t know who you are but you should post on here more often!

forzaforza yeah Ben Sims seems to have been the only person to call it that.

He tried to coin a term which didn’t catch on, and now it seems his PR people are having another attempt.

Lots of heavyweights on this episode:

Dan I got a few. Quite chuffed with myself I must say. I usually get next to none. My memory is dreadful. 😅

SM001 Got Funk D’Void & Tremora Del Terra…..the latter being a massive record in Germany in 93.

Now wondering if that part in the Cari Lekebusch track that was discussed was sampled by Halo Varga for Future. Sounds similar!

Dan Got Funk D’Void too and the Richie Hawtin and Aphex Twin ones.

Wonder when they’re going to do early 2000s peak time wrecking ball prog, with the likes of Trisco, Jan Driver’s remix of Man With Red Face etc

Mad_Cyril The Organic Bilge one will be tricky

Dunno, there’s some pretty obvious default answers to guess which are more than likely to be correct

              SM001

              Power Prog - Timo Maaaas
Organic - Any cunt who’s ‘dj’d’ in an air ballon, train, cliff top

Mad_Cyril Organic - Any cunt who’s ‘dj’d’ in an air ballon, train, cliff top

                😆

                SM001 Organic edition

                Artist: Tim Green
                Label: ADID

Safe bet for shouting out every track

SM001 Who’ll be the guests for the Power Prog

Steve Porter, Ian Wilkie and DJMATTBLACK

SM001 I named four….I’m after that Charles Webster track.

Dan I got some of the artists but not the track titles. I always forget either or or. 😅

Named six. It’s a house test and it’s too housey for Jen C. Whingebag

It’s truly scandalous that they’ve still not done a late 90s/early 00s prog edition yet.

People on here should spam the comments of every new Blind Test episode they put up until they get it done.

The likes of Pappa, Warren, Howells, Cattaneo, Maas, Lawler all seem plenty up for talking to randoms on youtube, so I’m sure enough would be up for such a thing on Telekom’s channel.

                        From her biography:

“Jennifer Cardini grew up in the southern French port city of Nice”

                        Which is nice.

weird coincidence - I put that moodyman track on my last mix - was trawling through some YouTube classic uploads and remembered it - tune and a half - someone said that he played it back to back for about half an hour just building and building …..a bit like that legendary endless cutting from the intro to Talking heads Once in a Lifetime for 20 mins which someone famous once did in the early 80s

Great track, but it’s massively overplayed already.

Shouting ‘The Sky was Pink!’ at these weird Germans on my screen.

Epic fail across the board here. Only thing I shouted out was James Holden as I keep thinking that track was his instead of it being a remix.

Millsy I was shouting “10101! 10101!” for the first 30 seconds. I was mortified when I realised it’s ‘The Sky Was Pink’. I’m still getting over it.

Some dull tracks on that vid with the exception of the Holden remix and the Mathew Jonson track.
