I’m on day two - last night was actually alright. Big op tomorrow and in for four nights, so won’t be drinking there either. I’m stopping for an extended period and hope to get two or three months in and a wee reset.

I did this two years ago too, and was on this second no alcohol weekend reminded what a granddad no booze makes me. All I do on weekends is try to stay awake past 9 PM. I went to bed last night at 9.30 PM and woke up at 8 AM. I guess I should be happy to be well rested, but instead I feel like a depressed person.

Homegrove day 15 for me today. Easier because of my shoulder op and not allowed out. Fucks my sleeping though and am tired all the time. Michelle got cunted yesterday and got in about midnight - Jesus what a fucking pain in the arse that was, or at least much more so, when you’re sober.

Homegrove I’m so boring these days without drinking. Makes waking up and being disciplined with everything else far easier, but if I’m up past 10 pm, it’s a special occasion. Weed/coffee combination helps some evenings, it’s not the same thought. I don’t feel old, but I fucking act like it now. 😅

Along_the_Wire I’m happy my wife gets happy when drunk, so picking her up from a company do or something isn’t annoying. I’ve had exes who went maudling with drink, and that was always great when you yourself were sober.

I lasted a whopping 5 days before having a drink but in my defence we were out for my wife’s birthday in a large group. I do plan on being abstinent for as long as possible now.

I was at a funeral on Monday and was probably the only sober one there…both hilarious and tragic to watch people totally off their faces by the end of the night

I’ve been giving it my best shot, but frankly I like having a drink far too much and have had a few cheeky ones. Non alcoholic beer is fucking minging too.

Millsy Nanny State was their first run at it. Their AF Hazy Jane and Elvis Juice are good - obviously, it’s not like the alcohol version, but they really are drinkable. Guinness 0.0 tastes very similar to the real thing. Lucky Saint is good too and they’ve just released a pale ale which I’ve not tried. I’d happily do to a boozer and have a pint of Lucky Saint if I’m not drinking - plenty of them serving it in London
