My dry January lasted about 36hrs followed by a few strong Scotch ales.

Joking apart, I do think people (i.e. me) need to guard against complacency when it comes to alcohol abuse during the lockdown / wfh environment.

I fear there will be a lasting legacy of alcohol related damage from this pandemic. The chancellor might need to look at bumping up the duty on booze in the next budget imo.

C_J that will buy him some votes in the red wall seats

Its a fair point, penny has dropped for me.

    Stripping it right back

There’s nothing else to do when work is over. Carry on boozing.

Will be going dry for the foreseeable, need to diet massively, so the booze is out.

Amps Well they’ve suspended tennis, so that’s my twice a week exercise gone. Time to get my ass around the block and run off the 5 bottles of gin and numerous chill heat wave Doritos I’ve consumed.

Dan Yeah, I’d much prefer a gym session, but the mean streets of Birkenhead it is.

Amps Jesus…..must be knackering running with a stab vest.

I’ve been pretty good on the drinking front during this period. No drinking Sunday through Friday. Pick up a four pack on a Friday and that’s pretty much it unless we’ve had a Zoom party or we’ve had a bit in for the weekend.

Was on the orange and mango squash last night.

Will be back on the rouge later.

A 30-45 min HIIT workout every day and intermittent fasting is all it takes chaps. Hardly Colditz.

Sad to hear Amps is slowly morphing into Jan Molby.

Haven’t had a drop since just before new year after a close relative collapsed & died on the spot of a massive heart attack. He was only 71.

Bloody hell Dubman I am sorry to hear that.

Thanks lads. I am ok. I just didn’t feel right celebrating on NYE. His wife woke up and found him collapsed at the bottom of the stairs. Couldn’t even say goodbye either.
