Along_the_Wire He’s already been impeached. That doesn’t go away. He may not be convicted by the Senate though. I really REALLY hope he does, and is further barred from future office, but I already see the GOP digging in its heels, so I’m not as optimistic as I’d like to be right now.
However, one silver lining, is that in many of the criminal cases against the insurrectionists, defendants are claiming they were only following the then-President’s orders, and that’s going to haunt him in his Senate trial.
