alistair Trump claimed the virus came from the lab and that China released it on purpose. Which is just dangerously guessing without proof, same as everyone else. He was also responsible for the uptick in violence against Asians because of his wreckless rhetoric. A real leader would’ve said nobody knows the origin of the virus but he wasn’t a real leader.
This is Western speculation too, don’t forget the Chinese have said the Yanks are responsible, not only through their direct funding and connection with the Wuhan Lab but a number of high level American DoD, DIA and specialists from other agencies were present in Wuhan for the Military Games a few weeks before the outbreak started. That’s as much as a coincidence as Wuhan having a lab. There’s a theory out there that it was purposely released to harm the Chinese economy during the ongoing trade feud Trump had a major hand in but it backfired when China kept flights pumping into the US long before Trump banned them, we know how that turned out.
