That’s great that you have been doing something about it. Have been doing the same recently. Not just bodyweight exercise but resistance training with weights and cables etc. Definitely feeling the difference.

Are you seeing your weight go down or are you not monitoring so much because it is more about developing strength?

My weight isn’t dropping but I assume this is because my body is building muscle and since muscle is (I believe) twice as dense as fat, that might account for the levelling off of overall body weight. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.

Someone else might also know the answer to this but I assume that besides measuring yourself, you could get a device that analyses your body/fat ratio?

Sounds like whatever could be the Geoff Capes of the board.

whatever Are you seeing your weight go down or are you not monitoring so much because it is more about developing strength?

Not really, but I’m not expecting results a month in. I’m more interested in the latter rather then the former.

whatever In equal volume fat weighs approx 80% of what muscle weighs.

whatever you could get a device that analyses your body/fat ratio?

Avoid these as there is nothing that can accurately measure this. Your best gauge is by simply looking in the mirror. Your waist line is a good indicator!

After a weekend of ‘reasonable boozing’, genuinely nothing silly, I managed to put on over half a stone in 48 hours. I can only assume this is something to do with age. Death must be around the corner.

We don’t own a scale. I go strictly by the mirror. Right now I want to fit into most of my button down shirts again.

Homegrove Not the worst technique if you don’t want to drive yourself mad with detail, but I find the lack of day to day progress tends to be a good motivator.

It has on this occasion backfired a little.

Hoping for a wrhooses style mega log where a shift about 4lbs.
