Video conferencing mishaps

I posted this one below in the ’Murica thread, but have any of you guys had some hilarious zoom/teams/whatevertechyouuse mishaps while working from home? Fortunately (or unfortunately in this case) I work with mostly tech savvy people, so we haven’t had anything funny other than screens freezing, but I’ve seen other cases where people forget their camera’s on and go to the bathroom, one recently where a teacher farted on camera to a bunch of 7-8 year olds, and then the kitty mishap below.

Anyone here got stories to share?

I can’t help but wonder why the face seems to be masked!

There was a uni lecturer in China who got the boot for broadcasting from her bedroom, thinking the class was over and then treating her students to a live display of her and her boyfriend going at it. That video, unfortunately, did not seem to do the rounds, the story just surfaced.

During Lockdown 1 my eldest throw up next to me whilst I was on video call with two clients. Certainly broke the ice that one as I hurried made my excuses “Sorry, my son has just barfed” etc. So much so that during Lockdown 2 one of them recalled the event yet said it wasnt the worst thing he’d had happen during a video call.

I am sick of seeing the shared videos of people’s cats intruding on their Zoom call and walking over their keyboard, it’s almost like some people set it up for attention:

“Oh look, my CAT! Oh my, I MUST HAVE ACCIDENTALLY LEFT THE DOOR OPEN!”
“Oh my, isn’t he so ADORBS?”

bosstrabs Yeah I mean, ok, the cat’s in the shot, but it doesn’t have to be recognized. I mean, I have someone on my team whose children are in the background screaming half the time when she’s not on mute. We all just ignore it for the most part.

Christian omg….lol. People be trippin. But yeah, with everything going on in the world these days, that’s not newsworthy. Then again, neither is the cat filter mishap above, and yet….😂

Mad_Cyril Nothing matches poor old Jeffrey Toobin knocking one out to his zoom colleagues when he thought the meeting had finished. Got sacked from CNN for that ….. quite bad personal administration.
