No implications about the attitude of other people Damo, more a ref to his approach.
Richard Tulip | Vinyl Progressive & Trance Classics [LIVE]

Old-Dutch yeah, his set up is amazingā¦Iām sure Nass will confirm as he must have been there at some point.
He said he would get onto new stuff eventually but imagine heās only got through a small section of the vinyl behind him so far.
Tilt, Odessi, Green Velvet, Space Manoeuvresā¦loads of good stuff last night.
Only listened to a few bits last night. He was playing some slamming prog early on. I did enjoy last week up untill he started playing trance. His setup is wicked and i do love watching someone mix with vinyl. It just seems more hands on.

Hereās his new Youtube channel with the recordings mate. You can subscribe for the updates of when all the new ones go on.
For the moment weāve got him up and running - heās gonna hone in on the microphone skills but it does take a bit of time. I canāt get over how well heās doing in this short a time. Iāve never seen someone come out of the gate running like this and I think he agrees with some of us that he could do with balancing the chatter a bit.
Itās really stimulating when you stand where he is - when DJs do this on their own and press āStart Streamingā and suddenly genuine friends join plus welcoming in new faces showing their love, we feel connected to everyone all of a sudden and it gets to a point when youāre restraining yourself from talking. We canāt get practised in feeling / being this way until we are doing it for real with you there.
This year especially, that feeling of connection is completely missing in our lives and we really get an amplified, tangible feeling of genuine connection when we share the same enjoyment in exactly the same moment. Itās so good.
Some of you see me pick up the mic and put it back down on my shows because I really want to add something (again) and I fight myself quietly to try to let the music do the talking. Iām trying to make an effort to talk less and only during breakdowns as much as I can now. I think thatās what Digweed/Tong did on radio shows. The whole streaming world is totally mental for most DJs - we never had to bother talking in Microphones in clubs thankfully, but it does add a nice dimension when it is balanced.
Music wise, Richardās gone through some of his best vinyl and does have more to go through (I mean, he has walls of it). Aside from what the music is, I have appreciation for how well he knows where it all is located.
Heāll be changing the vibe up soon - whether itās this next one or the one after is up to him, but for now heās been focused on bringing the early 2000s clubbing community together over the music that started it for most of us.
Although he was also a proper rave DJ (new monkey, anyone?) that was before most of us knew him. When we kicked off in clubbing, loads of us came for the Trance headliners like J00F, Matt Hardwick, M.I.K.E. Joy Kitikonti, and discovered Prog via Richard by going for the first two hours with him on warming up often. The and the obvious Prog DJs at the time were rarely there (his night was called PROMISE! on Fridays but Saturday was Shindig) yet Richardās club had Prog warmups for a number of good years before Electro and Minimal took hold.
He did have Anthony Pappa and Corvin Dalek which were curveballs for his night.
Itās been really nice for many of us to revisit this with the guy responsible for so many good times.
Glad you guys have enjoyed the bits you have - heās buzzing that you guys get involved and said to say thanks for jumping in.
When he does move to the ācurrentā "vibe, I think loads of us are going to find that interesting.
@Unbroken1 letās get you set up for streaming and give @Smallman1 the what-for x
NasserAlazzawi love the enthusiasm mate. Keep it going. Back on tomorrow?
NasserAlazzawi @Unbroken1 letās get you set up for streaming and give @Smallman1 the what-for
x
ā¦did you see the āexperimentsā I posted over the Summer? I did have a bash for a few weeks, nowhere near as complex a set-up as you or Mr Tulip, but managed to get decent sound quality and went live a few times
If @Unbroken1 could get the hang of the old streaming lark, thatās something I would definitely pay to watch.
NasserAlazzawi what sort of current stuff can we expect from him Nass?
@Unbroken1 Iām not sure I did see it - are there any recordings mate? The whole thing is just a a learning curve. Some of the best streams Iāve seen have been more simple / not trying too hard (especially in Prog, some of the harder styles seem to go risk going over the top IMO)
@Phil-McRackin Iāve been told its a surprise - heās been keeping schtum but Iāve seen him practising and if itās what I saw, its really interesting. Gotta keep it vague as I promised!
alistair Yeah Iām doing my show today mate - 3pm in the usual spot https://twitch.tv/NasserAlazzawiTV
