Used options for club standard style set ups
All in one (usb or laptop)
XDJ-RX2
XDJ-RX3 (these two are both same size, both 2 channel, with smaller platters - I think you can add turntables to it but do check if important to you). This one has a nicer HD screen can pick up used I think around £1000-1300
XDJ-XZ <ā full sized unit same as club set up, allows plugging in extra CDJ or XDJ units over Ethernet, or vinyl, however only allows 2 channel mixing on usb and 4 channel mixing using laptop on rekordbox). At Ā£1500-1600 used they are generally well looked after, a workhorse, and extremely good value for money now. They were around Ā£2400 new.
DJ Controllers (laptop only)
- DDJ-1000 (do not get this if you are using vinyl turntables with it - as it sounds bad hooked up). Likely under £1000.
- DDJ-FLX10 (these two are almost exactly the same with the latter adding Stems and high quality vinyl sound) likely around £1100 but guessing that one.
New options
All in One
- XDJ-AZ <ā replaced the XDJ-XZ but is only worth considering paying the premium if you want to stream over wifi directly into the unit or if having a better quality screen and mixing 4 channels on USB matters to you)
- DDJ-FLX-10
Seriously avoid the DDJ-GRV6 it is dreadful and falls apart.
If I had the money and wanted the best kit Iād go for the bottom one. I am staying on XZ as little to no benefit in upgrading for me - however Iāve played on each of these and all are plenty capable plus unlock rekordbox performance mode for free no subscription required.
Hope that helps mate youāll enjoy a good upgrade from FLX-4. I still have my 4 for backup or practising in small corners etc
